Wild Mani

My mani for this week is aWild theme. I wanted to go for something a little busy and fun. Now if I could only get the rhinestones to stay on.
Lately, I have been enjoying the Best thing I ever ate series on Food Network. I had this idea to try some of the items that were featured on the best thing I ever ate Breakfast edition.  I managed to convince some foodie friends to join me. The destination was Little Dom's in Los Angeles for the breakfast pizza.    I usually don't like to go to trendy places where everyone either thinks they are famous or are trying to be 'seen'. So when we arrived I looked past the ambiance because we were there for the food.  We shared the breakfast pizza that comes with sunny side up egg, rice balls, a tuna salad and a fig salad.  Our meal was a huge disappointment there was no flavor to be tasted on any of the dishes.  No yummy anything, not even the ice tea.  I think I had high expectations because it was Chef Tyler's choice. I mean, aren't chefs accustomed to eating the freshest ingredients, the most creative dishes?  The name of the show is the Best thing I ever ate not My friend owns this restaurant so I will try to promote it.

Zebra and Hot pink

My mani this week is zebra with hot pink leopard. I liked how this came out. I  think it has a fun Summer feel to it.

Metal Flowers

This manicure has glitter and metal flowers inside the nail.  I put two types of glitter, then the metal flowers.  I bought the metal flowers at Michael's (by Petals & Pumps in jewelry section). In order to make them fit on the nail I had to use a mallet to get them a little flat.  It is very sparkly when the sunlight shines on them.

Aloha Style Mani

Aloha! No, I am not in Hawaii but I wish I was (:  This manicure combined with Bath & Body Fei Tahiti Coconut Vanille fragrance helped psyche me out about going on my Stay-cation. It was nice to discover some of the hidden treasures near my home.

OPI Hollywood Blonde mani

This is a pretty color by OPI Hollywood Blonde. I think I might try a lace Konad on this another day. The pictures to do not capture the pretty shimmer.

Glitter and a dash of Zebra

I started this manicure by doing the zebra part and then the glitter base. Next, I added the pink stripes. Next time I try this I think I'll use hot pink stripes.   I am loving black and white lately on my nails and in clothing. It looks so crisp and clean together.

Guest: Jester Nubbins Manicure

This manicure reminds me of the Jester outfits in the royal courts.  This manicure is courtesy of my creative frined. This time her long natural nails are gone and in their place are her natural nubbins :(  She broke 4 nails and they were beyond repair- so off they went. She buys the plastic hearts and butterflies at Michaels.
